Case study · The Cairn · Par three course at McLemore · Identity & signage
Objective
Bill Bergin designed The Cairn, a spectacular par three course above the 18th hole at McLemore. Named from Gaelic meaning “mound of stacked stones,” the identity needed to honor the course’s cultural roots while standing on its own within the McLemore family of brands.
Solution
A Celtic knot motif modified into the letter “C.” Clean linework with flexible negative spaces that can be filled for a contemporary look, giving the mark versatility across applications from flags to apparel.
Special Features
Tall vertical flags around the course perimeter giving prominence to the Celtic knot mark, visible from multiple vantage points across the mountaintop landscape.
